Straight answers about how working together actually works.

For cruises and all-inclusive resorts, there is usually no additional cost to you for my planning services. Travel partners such as cruise lines and resorts pay commissions directly to travel advisors, so you can benefit from personalized planning and support without an additional planning fee.
For more complex or customized vacations—or trips that require extensive research and planning—a planning fee may apply. If a fee is required for your trip, I'll always discuss it with you upfront before any planning begins.
-
In most cases, no. The price of your cruise or all-inclusive resort vacation is typically the same whether you book directly with the travel supplier or through Three Rivers Travel—but working with Three Rivers Travel can sometimes add even more value to your trip.
Through Fora's relationships with travel partners and its affiliation with the Virtuoso travel network, eligible bookings may include additional perks at no extra cost. Depending on the cruise, hotel, or resort, these can include benefits such as onboard credit, complimentary breakfast, room upgrades when available, early check-in or late checkout, and other VIP amenities.
Beyond those added perks, you also have someone looking at the bigger picture of your vacation. I help you compare options, choose the right fit, and think through the details of your entire trip. If questions or changes come up, you can contact me instead of spending your time waiting on hold with a cruise line or travel supplier.
I stay involved after you book, too—monitoring eligible cruise fares before final payment, providing important reminders, helping coordinate other parts of your trip, and making sure you're prepared before you travel.
So in many cases, you can pay the same price you would booking directly while receiving personalized planning, ongoing support, and potentially additional perks and amenities along the way.

We'll start with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. This gives me a chance to learn more about you, who's traveling, what you're looking for in your vacation, your priorities and expectations, and what matters most to you. It's also an opportunity for us to make sure we're a good fit for each other before moving forward.
If we decide to work together, I'll have you review my Terms & Conditions and provide some basic information about everyone traveling. From there, I'll begin researching your trip and use what I learned during our consultation to create a personalized proposal with options selected specifically for you.
We'll review the proposal together, discuss your options, and make adjustments as needed until we've found the trip that's right for you. Once you're ready, I'll take care of the booking and continue working with you through the planning process so you're prepared when it's time to travel.
-
Absolutely. There isn't one cruise line, ship, or itinerary that's right for everyone. The right choice depends on who's traveling, what you enjoy, your budget, and the kind of experience you want to have together.
I'll ask the right questions to understand what's most important to you and help narrow down the choices. That might include the ages of your children, the activities and entertainment you're looking for, dining preferences, cabin needs, destinations you want to visit, the atmosphere you prefer onboard, and how you envision spending your time on vacation.
From there, I'll compare the cruise lines, ships, and itineraries that best match what you're looking for and explain the differences and why I recommend certain options.
With so many cruises available, you don't need to sort through all of them on your own. My job is to narrow down the choices and help you find the cruise that fits you and your family best.
-
Booking your cruise doesn't mean I stop watching the price. I continue monitoring your cruise fare up until final payment to look for opportunities to save you money.
If I find a lower fare, I'll review the new offer and your existing reservation to determine whether your booking is eligible for an adjustment. When it makes sense and the cruise line allows it, I'll work directly with the cruise line to have the lower eligible fare applied to your reservation.
Not every price drop or promotion can be applied to an existing booking, as cruise line rules and offer requirements vary. But I'll do the checking for you and let you know when there's an opportunity to save.
-
Absolutely. Booking your trip is just the beginning of our work together. I'll stay involved throughout the planning process and help keep you informed about the important details and deadlines leading up to your vacation.
For cruise clients, that includes monitoring eligible cruise fares before final payment, providing reminders for important dates such as final payment and online check-in, helping with travel documentation questions, and assisting with other parts of your trip such as hotels, transportation, excursions, or travel protection when needed.
As your departure gets closer, I'll also help make sure you're prepared for your trip and provide the important information you need before you leave.
And you don't have to wait for one of my scheduled check-ins. If you have a question, want to make a change, or need help with something along the way, I'm here to help.
My goal is for you to feel supported from the day you book until the day you travel—not just when it's time to make the reservation.m description

Possibly! Many cruise lines allow an existing reservation that was booked directly with them to be transferred to a travel advisor within a specific period of time after booking. The rules and timeframes vary by cruise line, so the sooner you contact me after booking, the better.
If your reservation is eligible to be transferred to Three Rivers Travel, I'll take over servicing the booking and become your point of contact with the cruise line. From there, I can review your reservation, help with questions or changes, monitor eligible cruise fares before final payment, and provide the same ongoing support I offer my other cruise clients.
Even if your cruise reservation is no longer eligible to be transferred, I may still be able to help with other parts of your vacation, such as hotels, transportation, excursions, travel protection, or other travel arrangements.
If you've already booked, reach out and I'll help determine what options are available.

Not at all. Cruises are a major focus at Three Rivers Travel, but they're only one of the ways I help clients plan memorable vacations.
I also specialize in all-inclusive resort vacations in the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America, and can help with custom vacations that include hotels, flights, transportation, tours, and other travel arrangements.
Whether you're planning a family cruise, a couples getaway at an all-inclusive resort, or a more customized vacation, I'll take the time to understand what you're looking for and help put together a trip that fits you.
And if you're not sure what type of vacation is right for you, I can help you compare the options and figure that out, too.
-
Absolutely. My goal is to help you think through the entire trip—not just book your cruise or resort.
Depending on your vacation, I can assist with flights, pre- and post-cruise hotels, transportation and transfers, shore excursions, tours, travel protection, and other arrangements you may need along the way.
Just as importantly, I'll help you think through how all of those pieces fit together. That could mean determining when you should arrive before your cruise, choosing a conveniently located hotel, planning transportation between the airport, hotel, and cruise port, or helping you evaluate excursion options.
You don't have to figure out every piece of your vacation on your own. We'll look at the trip as a whole and make sure the details come together from the time you leave home until it's time to return.

In general, the earlier you start planning, the better. Booking early usually gives you more choices when it comes to cruise ships, itineraries, cabin locations, resort rooms, flights, and other parts of your vacation.
Planning ahead is especially important if you're traveling during spring break, summer vacation, the holidays, or other popular travel periods. It's also helpful for larger families or groups who may need connecting cabins, specific room configurations, or accommodations close to one another.
For cruises, booking earlier can have another advantage. After making your initial deposit, you can typically make payments toward your remaining balance over time leading up to the final payment date. For many families, this can make it easier to budget for the vacation rather than paying the entire cost at once.
Booking earlier also gives us more time to monitor your cruise fare before final payment and take advantage of eligible price adjustments if a better rate becomes available.
That doesn't mean it's too late if you're planning a trip on shorter notice. There can still be great options available, and I'll help you determine what's realistic based on your dates, budget, and priorities.
If you're starting to think seriously about a vacation, that's usually a good time to start the conversation—even if you're not ready to book yet.
-
Yes. I strongly recommend that every traveler consider travel insurance or travel protection as part of their vacation planning—especially when you're traveling outside the country or taking a cruise.
A vacation can be a significant investment, and unexpected situations can happen before or during your trip. Depending on the policy and coverage selected, travel protection may provide benefits for situations such as trip cancellation or interruption, travel delays, lost or delayed baggage, and unexpected medical expenses while traveling.
I'll make sure you're aware of available travel protection options and provide information so you can review the coverage, benefits, limitations, and exclusions and decide what is right for you and your trip.
Travel insurance is optional, but I believe it's an important part of the planning conversation. My goal is to make sure you have the information you need to make an informed decision rather than discovering after something unexpected happens that you weren't protected.
-
It depends on your cruise itinerary, citizenship, and where your cruise begins and ends. Some U.S. citizens taking certain closed-loop cruises—cruises that depart from and return to the same U.S. port—may be able to travel with other approved documentation instead of a passport.
Even when a passport isn't required, I strongly recommend traveling with a valid passport whenever possible. If an unexpected situation requires you to leave the ship in another country or fly home from a foreign port, having a passport can make the process much easier.
When we plan your cruise, I'll help point you toward the current documentation requirements for your itinerary so you know what to review well before departure. Ultimately, each traveler is responsible for making sure they have the proper identification and travel documents required for their trip.
If you don't currently have a passport, don't let that stop you from starting the conversation. We can discuss your cruise options and the documentation you'll need as part of the planning process.

Virtuoso is a leading global network of travel agencies, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel partners specializing in luxury and experiential travel. Fora is a member of the Virtuoso network, which allows me, through Three Rivers Travel, to access Virtuoso's preferred travel relationships and benefits for my clients.
What does that mean for you? On eligible bookings, you may receive additional amenities and VIP benefits at no additional cost. Depending on the hotel, resort, cruise line, or travel partner, those benefits can include things such as complimentary breakfast, resort or hotel credits, room upgrades when available, early check-in or late checkout when available, onboard cruise credits, and other special amenities.
Virtuoso's value goes beyond perks. Its relationships with travel partners around the world give advisors access to preferred partners, industry connections, and additional resources that can help me create a better overall travel experience for my clients.
Not every hotel, cruise, or vacation qualifies for Virtuoso benefits, and the specific amenities vary by travel partner and booking. When Virtuoso benefits are available for your trip, I'll look for opportunities to take advantage of them and add as much value to your vacation as possible.
It's another example of why booking through Three Rivers Travel can be different from simply booking a room or vacation online—you receive my personalized service along with access to the relationships and benefits available through Fora and the Virtuoso network.
